Diego PérezParticipantHi!
I meant a link to the screenshot file, you share a link to my-drive which will redirect me to my own drive so I can’t see your screenshot.Greetings!
Diego
Diego PérezParticipantHi!
Well, the thing you are asking for will not work, first kali’s apache server is used in the local network only. Second, the issue is related to the security settings in windows machine, it has nothing to do with the link. You can download the file I sent with kali and then pass it to windows, check that out.
Greetings!
Diego
Diego PérezParticipantHi!
Yes, you need to be root user. I never said to use a non root user, I was just asking because I can see that the path in the error code point to kali user’s home directory, so you might have used kali user for some reason at some point. I suggest to remove that kali, import a new one and install Disctopia again but do everything as root.Greetings!

Diego PérezParticipantHi!
No, it doesn’t allow me to see it, change permissions of the file to Anyone who has the link.Greetings!
Diego
Diego PérezParticipantHi!
I don’t understand why are you getting such red window, I download the same virtual machine provided in the course and I don’t get such result, so if you are using the same virtual machine as I do then the only difference is the host, what antivirus or firewall do you have installed in your host? And what do you mean by Try to upload it as URL and I go download by apache? Can you explain? because it’s not clear what you mean.
Greetings!
Diego
Diego PérezParticipantHi!
Please share a link to the file instead.Greetings!
Diego
Diego PérezParticipantHi!
Unfortunately that screenshot is unreadable, it might be better to upload the to google drive and share a link here.Greetings!
Diego
Diego PérezParticipantHi!
Are you using the root user to install and create backdoors with Disctopia?Greetings!
Diego
Diego PérezParticipantHi!
Are you still getting the red screen saying is malware? Are you changing any settings other than disabling defender? Or are you installing anything extra in windows machine?Greetings!
Diego
Diego PérezParticipantHi!
If both virtual machines are running in different apps then the attack won’t work. In such case you would need to change the adapter to bridged in UTM and preferably use a wireless adapter for kali. If you use bridged adapter for both machines it might not work as expected at all, I meant you might experiment glitches or running the attacks many times for them to work.Greetings!

Diego PérezParticipantHi!
Yeah, increasing the Memory and CPU should improve the performance.Greetings!
Diego
Diego PérezParticipantHi!
Maybe try to remove it and import a new windows machine, and avoid installing many things on it, just the necessary.Greetings!
Diego
Diego PérezParticipantHi!
I’ve already answered you in the other same question, so let’s keep it there please. Thanks!
Diego
Diego PérezParticipantHi!
DId you run any upgrade command in custom kali?
Can you show the results of:
ifconfig and route -n in kali and metasploitable
Can you share a screenshot of the Network settings used in VMware for both machines? Thanks!
