Hello, i set up the evilgrade, spoofed the dns, and listening on metasploit. everything runs succesfully. On the target machine i have the update available in the dap. It succesfully downloads and installs. And i get the meterpreter on my kali machine. Problem im facing is that any command in the meterpreter like ls, cd, pwd, gives an error message Rex::timeoutError Operation timed out.
Only the help command works.
is it a virtual machine issue? Or something else?
Thank you
Hi!
Did your backdoor work if you run it by it’s own? is it working properly? Which exact payload di you use to create the backdoor.
Let me know.
Diego
Hello,
I used used the payload go/meterpreter/rev_http.py
And indeed when i test the backdoor on its own i run into the same issue. It gives a message saying that whitoud database connected the payload will not work….
I have send you a screenshot.
Thank you
Hi!
Try using a different payload like c/tcp or cs/tcp.
Greetings!
Diego
Hey,
Yeah that was it, the c-tcp payload works fine.
Thanks Diego!
Hi!
Glad you got it!
