Entity palette is empty when I use Maltego in the Virtual Box. I updated it in VB and still same issue. Sometimes I get No transforms could be found!
I loaded Maltego onto my desktop and it has the entity palette like Zaid in the lectures. I am using Zaid’s Kali 2020 Maltego edition 4.2.13
Thanks for any help. I have screen shots if that will be helpful.October 24, 2020 at 7:16 pm #47388Diego PérezModeratorHi!
When you said “loaded Maltego onto my desktop” , do you mean your host machine?Did you selected Community Edition?
Yes, some screenshots will help.
Thanks!

Yes community Edition.
I cannot seem to drag and drop or copy and paste into this box. Good Grief!October 30, 2020 at 6:44 pm #47535Diego PérezModeratorHi!
Did you install any transforms the first time you open maltego? It’s weird that the entities pallet is empty, also you can try by importing a fresh custom kali.To be able to drag and drop and share clipboard between host and guest you have to enable those option in the General menu inside VirtualBox.
Also share the mentioned screenshots please.
Thanks!

I will try importing a fresh custom kali…
Did you install any transforms the first time you open maltego? I don’t remember

You can upload the screenshots to any image hosting service and share the link here. Also trying in a fresh custom kali might work as expected.
Greetings!

The very first screenshot, the one that saids Warning-could not install some modules…. where did it came from? I mean what did you do to get that message? Are you using kali as virtual machine? Does it has proper internet access? If so then try by disabling defender or any AV in your host system and try it again.
Let me know how it goes!
