I have started kali in 1.5, the machine started as yours so i put the username ‘root’ and password ‘toor’ and it tells me that the paswoord is incorrect, so cannot go any further, what do I do now?

    Hi Mark!
The default credentials are those ones so they should work, please double check you wrote them correctly.

    Greetings!

    https://images.offensive-security.com/virtual-images/kali-linux-2020.2-vbox-amd64.ova?_ga=2.180886816.627677822.1589796425-919476274.1589796425

The above is what I downloaded, first time I did get the VM instead of the VB, have installed the above file as I am running Windows 10 64bit and exactly the same happens, I am typing the credentials in lower case again ‘root‘ and ‘toor‘ if it was a long set of letters maybe then I got something wrong but just 4 letters!!
