ModeratorHi!
Unfortunately there’s no way for me to know what’s wrong. If you said you have done it the same as Zaid then it should work. Maybe try it again an new custom kali instance.Greetings!

ModeratorHi!
As mentioned before, I can’t know where the issue is without any information. What I meant about the index.html file is that you were setting the form action path to a file in a windows machine, that’s never mentioned in the lecture so that was your decision, that’s why I want to check all the info.
Yes, send screenshots with all the commands used and the result along with the index.html file where the correct path is being used.Greetings!

ModeratorHi!
By whole process I mean the whole process of the attack. It would be better to look exactly what you are doing, saying “I am doing excatly what is zaid Doing” is not useful, taking in account the html file you shared contained different information (you are doing things differently, it seems). I can’t magically guess where the issues is, I need info and evidence to be able to help you find the issue.Greetings!

ModeratorHi!
Are you running the attack in kali? Can you share screenshots of the whole process you are doing?Greetings!

ModeratorHi!
It all depends on the malicious content you are talking about, if it is a script, shellcode, bytes, etc. With the content type in mind, you can do a google search about how to embed certain type of data to an image.Greetings!

ModeratorHi!
For some reason, you have set the form “action” to a file on your windows machine. As mentioned n the lecture, all is needed to be done within kali. Maybe watch the lecture again and follow the instructions as mentioned by Zaid.Greetings!

ModeratorHi!
The error message in the console says that index.html is not found, so there might be something wrong. Can you share a screenshot with the contents of html directory?Greetings!
DiegoDiego Pérez
ModeratorHi!
It seems like index.html is not found. Make sure to store it in the html directory. Maybe watch the lecture again and make sure to follow all the instructions accordingly.Greetings!

You can do a google search to find some templates, here’s an example:

ModeratorHi!
You can open the browser’s developer tools, navigate to the Network tab and then click the submit button. In the Network tab you’ll see if there’s a POST request or any error related. Check it and let us know.Greetings!

Yes, this is normal. Power off the instance while not using it.Greetings!

ModeratorHi!
I pass your question to Dimitris but it seems he hasn’t answered yet, I’ll remember him.Greetings!

ModeratorHi!
The above screenshot is from the course you have mentioned. And no, setting the password for kali user won’t affect the ssh connection using a key file.
I don’t know what exactly you are doing that you said the server doesn’t accept it. In any case, you can use the command passwd to set kali’s password, then you can install Empire.Greetings!
