Is it bad idea if I suspend my VMs? Since I’ve been doing it to save state I haven’t had this issue. What can I do in this case?

Sorry for the late response.
Yes, it’s a bad idea to suspend the machines, it’s better to shut them down. Restart yout host machine and try to run the virtual machine again. If it show the same error then it might be broken and you would need to replace it with a new one.Greetings!

As you can read in the message The plugin 2500 is deprecated and was replaced with plugin 22000 so replace 2500 with 22000 in the command used to run hashcat, then it should work.Greetings!
