    the media check is complete, the result is fail
    failed to start media check on /dev/sda.
    see ‘systemctl [email protected]’ for details
    control process exited with error code
    dracut: fatal:cd checkfailed
    dracut refusing to continue
    reboot systemhalted

    So when I change the 4 bios settings that you say to change, then I prioritize the USB with the qubes iso on it for booting in the 1st spot, I then save my bios settings. Then the Qubes screen where it says test this device or upload to empty usb. I click test this device or hardware then the screen goes black and I get that error code right there. Please help me out as quickly as possible it’d be much appreciated! Have a good one!

    Can you tell me more details about your OS?(RAM, free disk space, processor, etc)

    I have checked the link and my brand of motherboard gigabyte is seen on the list, but not my specific z490 motherboard model. I run windows 10, 16gb corsair ram w 3600mhz, 800gb of free disk space on an m.2 drive by WD. I have an intel i9 10700k and an xfx rx6700xt gpu

    Hi!
    So the issue might be that your computer won’t support Qubes, also the error saids something about checking the cd, but you said you have set the correct boot order, I’ll suggest to check it again and if it is in the correct order then your computer is the one giving issues.

    It could be that the motherboard I have does not have an TPM (trusted platform module), which is required for Qubes OS on their requirements page

    So I can buy the TPM from gigabyte, and I hope that will clear up the issue.

    I checked my motherboards internal I/O connectors on gigabytes website and my motherboard does have 1 x Trusted Platform Module header (For the GC-TPM2.0 SPI/GC-TPM2.0 SPI 2.0 module only).

    Hi!

    It seems that your motherboard won’t support Qubes, if it’s not in the list this is very likely. We have seen the same with many students.
    Do you have access to any other machine where you can test your flashed USB?
