    Hello,
a few days ago a tried to scan a network with nmap which uses IDS/IPS protection. I was not able to scan it. I read some blog about ncat can be used for this, but i found it confusing. Is there some chance you could provide us some tips, materials or even if Zaid could create some video about this topic?

    Hi!
ncat is a tool used for other purposes, it can tell you if a port is opened because it will connect successfully, but you can still try to use nmap. Take a look at these articles:

    https://nmap.org/book/man-bypass-firewalls-ids.html
    https://nmap.org/book/subvert-ids.html

    Hope it helps!
    Diego
