You can but not all routers can create a captive portal, go to the router settings usually on http://GateWayIP/ , you should see an option for setting up a captive portal if the router supports it.

Yeah you are right. If you are using the correct password with the or command then you should be able to access your account.
Please try to re-enable monitor mode again using this:
ifconfig wlan0 down
airmon-ng check kill && rfkill unblock all
iwconfig wlan0 mode monitor
ifconfig wlan0 up– Make sure you do NOT connect the adapter until Kali fully loads, and after you log in as root,
– Connect it directly to the computer, don’t use a hub or an extension, and
– Try different USB ports in your PC with different USB settings (2.0 & 3.0) in Kali USB settings in Vbox.If the above didn’t help, then try to enable monitor using another method:
If all of the above didn’t help then try updating Kali using the following commands

Zaid just updated a custom Kali 2020 image, this image has most of the needed programs pre-installed, it also has the drivers for Realtek RTL8812AU chipset installed, It already contains the correct version of bettercap and the correct HSTShijack caplet, and also the range issue for netdiscover and zenmap, check out the following link for more info on what exactly got changed.

Did you add the card to usb list like shown in lecture 11? If you did, then make sure that you don’t physically connect the card to the computer until Kali is fully booted, connect the card, then go to the devices menu (beside the file menu) >> USB >> Click your device.
If you’ve done all of the above then can you tell me the exact model of your wireless adapter please?

Try this:
ifconfig wlan0 down
airmon-ng check kill
macchanger -r wlan0
ifconfig wlan0 upIf that didn’t work then try this:
ifconfig wlan0 down
ifconfig wlan0 hw ether [NewMac]
ifconfig wlan0 upThen run ifconfig to check if the mac address actually changed.
Installing kali as a main OS might cause you issues in if you’re not familiar with Linux, cause it might break the system if you did something wrong while installing new packages, updating your system, or performing the methods shown in the course. I advise you to use kali as a vm since you are just starting and later you can use the raspberry pi to launch more powerful attacks.
