Tagged: Sock Puppet
I am wondering if you have any tips that could be added to the course on setting up a Windows VM as a sock puppet, because it does require signing into it with a Microsoft account. And that can defeat the purpose of a sock puppet VM if you sign in with an account that identifies you, or if you created a new account, Microsoft knows some info about the device you sign up with. So if you have any tips on setting up that Windows VM in a way that maintains anonymity, that would be a great thing to add to the course when discussing setting up the sock puppet VM. This is for lesson 7.1.
Hi!
The sock puppets are social media accounts not virtual machines. In any case, if you want to use a virtual machine you can try using a linux one. You won’t need to create a Microsoft account.
Greetings!
